This was a two layer roof that was having an algae problem in part to a lot tree coverage. We tore it down to the deck and replaced all questionable plywood. Then Installed 6′ of Ice & Water shield past the interior wall and layed synthetic underlayment the remaining way. Once the roof was ready for shingles we recommended choosing to install the CertainTeed Landmark Algae resistant shingle in Silver Birch. Finally we cut in a ridge vent on the lower section for maximum exhaust venting. Due to the lack of ridge on the second story we decided to go with can vents.
