The Material Coordinator at 180 Contractors Roofing and Siding plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient material handling, delivery coordination, inventory management, and maintaining job site readiness. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to support production, service, and project management teams.
About the Position
- Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of office and warehouse materials.
- Update the material inventory daily using a shareable spreadsheet.
- Conduct thorough checks of delivered materials at job sites, documenting any issues (e.g., missing, damaged, or sloppy drops) and notifying the team.
- Take and upload job site photos to ensure tasks are documented and addressed as needed.
- Coordinate timely pickups, deliveries, and returns of materials for upcoming and completed jobs.
- Occasionally help field technicians complete emergency services like tarping or stop leaks.
- Perform comprehensive cleanups of job sites, including magnet sweeping, brooming, and verifying crew cleanup performance.
- Transport materials to job sites and assist with preparation, including priming or painting as necessary.
- Collaborate with project managers and service managers on emergency material needs and job progress.
- Manage warehouse organization and inventory, including maintaining primed material stock.
- Verify material measurements and colors to pass to operations manager prior to ordering.
- Utilize provided iPad for documentation and communication.
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and tools, ensuring proper care and accountability.
- Attend bi-weekly production meetings and participate in site reviews as required.
- Limit customer communication to logistical updates, redirecting technical or project-specific inquiries to the appropriate manager.
- Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Coordinator or similar role in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction materials and processes, with a focus on roofing and siding.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of material handling and inventory management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in using technology, including spreadsheets and mobile devices.
- Physical ability to perform site cleanups and material transport duties. Must be able to lift 80+ pounds.

The Service Technician plays a key role in the long-term success of 180 Contractors. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and performing maintenance on roofing, gutters, siding, and other exterior areas, communicating with homeowners and department leads about the status of work, being knowledgeable about brand products, and reviewing projects to determine the appropriate scope of work. Additionally, the Roofer/Carpenter Service Technician is a brand ambassador, protecting the company’s reputation with customers and vendors, as well as current and future employees.
About the Position
- Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting the structure of roofs in order to determine the best course of action.
- Providing clients with project updates.
- Measuring & cutting materials to ensure that they fit securely around vents, gutters, chimneys, & walls.
- Repairing roof decking/framing to prepare the surface for new shingles or waterproofing.
- Replacing areas of clients’ roofs/siding that are damaged or rotting.
- Installing vapor barriers and insulation to create a more waterproof seal.
- Safely setting up ladders, scaffolding, and hoisting equipment as required.
- Updating the supervisor on job progress & reporting any problems related to the job.
- Safely transporting all required equipment and materials to job sites.
- Be knowledgeable of & inform customers about the nature of all products used on their project.
- Learn & utilize several different software platforms efficiently.
- Attend company meetings, training & development workshops, and team-building events.
- Maintain an organized work vehicle.
- Skills & Qualifications:
- The Service Technician position is a physically demanding job with a lot of hands-on responsibilities. It requires extensive field time, and all duties are performed in outdoor climates (heat, cold, rain, etc). Service Technicians need to be able to carry, safely set up, and climb up to a 40’ ladder, lift a bundle of shingles (80 lbs), as well as a roll of underlayment and ice & water guard to successfully perform the role.
- Service Technicians must be able to get onto, and work comfortably, on a roof.
- Roofing & Siding: 3 years (Preferred)
- License/Certifications: Driver's License (Required)
